My Canon EOS 500D

Its been a really long time i have been waitng to buy a DSLR..... its since i saw my friends DSLR 3 years back and finally the day comes in february 2010 in UK. The very next day we were planning a drive to scotland.
There are lot of new functions in this one
1. The ISO has increased to a high of 12800
2. I Can capture HD videos with it
3. its got 9 point Auto Focus

I bought the 500D with a Canon 18-200mm lens.
i am still an amatuer in photography, so still learning the ways of clicking

BANGALORE - JOG FALLS, HONAVAR (RUN TO THE COAST)

MY 1st TRIP WITH THE XBHP MEMBERS. JOHN GAVE ME A CALL ON 8TH OCT ASKING ME IF i am free to go for a long ride, i jumped in to say a yes, i packed my bags and left with my bike to catch up with zakir to take his bike coz my bike was not ready for the ride, met zakir in front of his office took his bike, filled up the tank with 10ltrs and went to ajay's place as john had asked me to come there.

We left ajay' place at 4pm towards nice road, and continued to tumkur and reached tumkur only by 5:45pm due to heavy traffic, met xenologic, had a coffe with them and left that place after one hour and stopped at KB croos for our next break, around 52kms after tumkur and then continued till Kadur where we found a Dhaba called 'Masala' had our dinner there and started to shimoga by 11pm and the roads were horrible so it took us 2hrs to cover 60kms and reached shimoga only by 11, took some pics there and started serching for a hotel and after a good half an hour of search we found one with single for each one of us and called it a day.

I woke up at 5:30am and woke ajay & john up and we started from shimoga towards sagar by 6:15 am an reached a small village called Hadehalli near anandapuram and stopped there to have tea and eventually had our brekfast also. after crossing Sagar we saw a mile stone, where it said that jog falls is just 7km, so we deicded to pay a visit coz i & john have never been to jog falls. reached jog falls to see very less water after taking few pics we were on the way back to our ultimate Destination 'West coast'. We reached honavar by 11 and went to the beach had some awesome time there and started back by 1:15pm. we rode continously till saagar a total of 110kms and stopped at sagar by 3:30pm to have our lunch, after lunch again the journey started by 4:30pm and we had planned to hit bangalore before 2am, crossed shimoga by 6pm and stopped for some time for a tea break, then again we continued untill the dhaba called 'Masala' in KADUR to have our dinner. Finished dinner by 9pm and started to Arsikere and it started pouring so we were on a real slow speed and took one hour cover 35kms after reaching arsikere we searched for a room coz john wasnt feeling well and we got a ok kind room and i dont remember when we slept coz all of us were dead tired.

woke up at 6am and left arsikere by 7 and rode non stop till tumkur and then we rode non stop from there to reach home at 10:20am. a total of approximately 1000kms covered..
